Job Overview

What are we looking for?

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Maintenance Specialist to oversee and manage maintenance operations within our apartment complex properties. This full-time role offers competitive compensation and benefits, ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and rectify all maintenance concerns, encompassing HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
  • Assist in preparing vacant units for incoming residents, which includes tasks such as painting, cleaning, and repairing or replacing fixtures and appliances as required.
  • Promptly respond to maintenance requests from tenants, maintaining a professional and courteous interaction at all times.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the property’s exterior, including trash collection, snow clearance, and landscaping duties.
  • Conduct routine inspections to detect potential issues and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with property management to prioritize maintenance tasks, minimizing disruption to residents.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory management.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and promote a secure working environment.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to residents, fostering a positive and professional atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance, with a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Capability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems is essential.
  • Customer service-oriented approach with effective communication skills.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred, with Spanish speakers encouraged to apply.
