Position Overview

Workfit Medical is a prominent healthcare organization committed to providing outstanding medical services. We are currently in search of a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to enhance our hospitalist team. Role Responsibilities

The Physician Assistant (PA) in the hospitalist role will collaborate with our team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients admitted to the hospital. The PA will oversee patient management from the point of admission through to discharge, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical services.

  • Perform initial evaluations and gather medical histories of newly admitted patients.
  • Formulate and execute treatment strategies in partnership with supervising physicians.
  • Conduct daily rounds to assess and manage patient recovery.
  • Order and analyze diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, imaging studies, and EKGs.
  • Prescribe medications and other therapeutic measures as deemed necessary.
  • Coordinate care with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical documentation in accordance with hospital regulations and standards.
  • Engage in quality improvement projects and pursue ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Valid PA license in the state of New York.
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Prior experience in a hospitalist or inpatient care setting is required.
Compensation and Benefits
