Position Overview:
Nightwing is seeking an experienced Engineer II in Software Engineering. This role involves national travel to client locations for system testing, approximately four times annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tests and troubleshoot control and diagnostic systems that incorporate logical and mathematical solutions.
- Engage in research and collaborate with design engineers in the planning, design, development, and implementation of electronic data processing systems and commercial software.
- Evaluate and analyze software designs for products to ensure alignment with current and future business requirements.
- Develop and implement procedures that support hardware and software product development and functionality.
- Utilize equipment and computer systems for testing and software design to ensure operational objectives are met.
Essential Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of two years of experience in Software Engineering or a related field.
- At least two years of development experience with RTCA DO-178B or DO-178C compliance.
- Minimum of two years of experience with IBM DOORs or equivalent for requirements management.
- Two years of experience in embedded software development and verification.
- Two years of experience in real-time systems development.
- Two years of experience in avionics systems.
