Responsibilities
  • Develop Strategic Relationships: Build lasting relationships with customers, including developers, architects, general contractors, and engineers, by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Market Development: Attain an in-depth understanding of SRT/SHT, including forestry, sustainability, design, commercial commodity trends, construction markets, and structural building.
  • Present and Represent: Present to and represent WholeTrees Structures to the broad developer, design, and contractor communities.
  • Identify and Qualify New Opportunities: Identify, qualify, and quantify new sales opportunities.
  • Respond and Engage: Respond, engage, and qualify inbound leads and inquiries.
  • Act as a Project Consultant: Act as a project consultant and liaison to the design community.
  • Develop and Present Value-Added Project Solutions: Develop and present value-added project solutions.
  • Engage Customers: Engage customers to expand awareness, educate, ask for referrals, identify new opportunities, and develop market intelligence.
  • Partner and Work Across the Team: Effectively partner and work across the WholeTrees Structures team.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Act as the subject matter expert for WholeTrees Structures solution development, services, and product offering.
  • Present Quotes and Negotiate: Present quotes, negotiate, and sign new work.
  • Drive Revenue: Drive revenue through value-added selling approach.
  • Develop Territory Plan and Prepare Reports: Develop territory plan and prepare required reports and forecasts.
  • Maintain CRM: Proactively maintain and manage HubSpot CRM.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Maintain an adept understanding of the latest industry trends to support sales strategy.
  • Produce Accurate Sales Forecasts: Produce accurate sales forecasts utilizing existing CRM workflows.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven Sales Development Track Record: Proven sales development track record focused on structural solutions, sustainability, and mass timber construction.
  • Ability to Work Safely: Ability to work safely.
  • Effective Listener: Effective listener.
  • Strong Professional Communication Skills: Strong professional communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Strong Technical Acumen: Strong technical acumen.

  • Education and Experience: BA/BS degree in Engineering or Architecture preferred. Commercial construction experience (3 plus years preferred).
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Requests: Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving financial and volumetric goals for assigned territory.
  • Promote a Sense of Urgency: Promote a sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables. Act without being told what to do. Bring new ideas to the table.
