This role presents the opportunity to oversee multiple scopes, manage subcontractors, mentor entry-level staff, and take charge of unique and challenging projects. You'll utilize Lydig's established techniques, systems, and processes to lead and manage submittal and RFI processes, ensure timely project closeout, and assist in generating Subcontractor and Purchase Agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage submittal and RFI processes for multiple scopes of work activities on site.
  • Ensure timely project closeout and assist in generating Subcontractor and Purchase Agreements.
  • Understand different scopes of work and assist in generating Subcontractor and Purchase Agreements.
  • Assist in Subcontractor and Owner change orders.
  • Engage in project meetings and communicate changes and updates on scopes of work and subcontracts.
  • Understand schedule needs of project and communicate to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Engage in estimating, preconstruction, and business development processes.
  • Understand BIM fundamentals and navigate the model for constructability/coordination review.
  • Provide mentorship and training support to junior members of the engineering staff.

Qualifications:

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of construction-management-related experience, depending on education.

Safety

  • Participate in jobsite safety meetings and conduct regular project safety audits.
  • Lead and manage safety submittal process.

Skills / Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with owners, staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Basic understanding of the construction industry and the role of a General Contractor.
  • Strong ability to lead, influence, and motivate people.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and issues.
  • Knowledge of Construction Management software and proficiency with computer programs such as scheduling, estimating, Excel, and MS Word.

Additional Requirements:

  • Current driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Pass pre-employment checks, including a Drug Screen, Criminal Background, and possibly Credit check.
