Job Title: Per Diem Direct Support Professional

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Per Diem Direct Support Professional to join our team in North and South King County. As a Per Diem Direct Support Professional, you will provide support to adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being.

Job Summary:

The Per Diem Direct Support Professional will work on a per-diem basis, providing support to program participants in their daily lives. This includes assisting with personal hygiene, food preparation, house cleaning, shopping, and monitoring of health needs, including supervision of medication. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and healthful living environment, promoting the participants' independence and autonomy.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to program participants in their daily lives, including personal hygiene, food preparation, house cleaning, shopping, and monitoring of health needs.
  • Assist participants with regularly accessing the community to take part in a variety of outings of the participants' choosing.
  • Ensure that participants are treated with dignity and consideration at all times, promoting and safeguarding each participant's ability to make decisions and to freely exercise their rights.
  • Interact with participants, provide informal counseling and problem-solving with participants.
  • Attend staff meetings as required by the Program Supervisor or the Site Supervisor and/or Administrator.
  • Attend training offered/required by the agency, DDA, and other parties.
  • Take part in the development and implementation of the IISP for each participant with whom they work.
  • Provide necessary support and supervision of participants.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with other services providers, the participants' parents/relatives/guardians and other agency staff.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / Equivalent required.
  • Washington State Driver's License, a Reliable Vehicle, Auto Insurance, and must be willing to transport clients.
  • Must be located in & eligible/authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.
  • First Aid/CPR Certified (training can be provided).
  • Have an active NAR/HCA/CNA.
  • Have an active CPI certification (preferred).
  • Blood Borne Pathogen (within 120 days of employment, training can be provided).
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Be fully vaccinated from Covid-19 (or have an approved exemption).
