Paralegal Role at TAK Communications

TAK Communications is a leading national telecommunications and broadband service provider seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our in-house legal team in Sioux Falls, SD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the General Counsel in handling corporate governance matters, contract lifecycle management, and litigation and risk management.
  • Conduct legal research, draft and review contracts, and assist with compliance.
  • Manage contract templates, maintain corporate records, and ensure all legal entities are in good standing.
  • Provide legal summaries, memos, and recommendations to the General Counsel based on research findings.
  • Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company's operations.
  • Support the General Counsel in responding to regulatory inquiries and audits.
  • Assist in managing litigation matters, including document production, discovery, and coordination with outside counsel.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in a paralegal role; 3+ years supporting in-house legal counsel preferred.
  • Experience in contract management is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field. Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in legal research, drafting, and review.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in legal research tools, contract management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with litigation support and working with outside counsel is a plus.
