We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Child Psychiatric Unit at Maine Medical Center. The successful candidate will provide patient care utilizing the nursing process in an inpatient setting, working with children and adolescents who require acute mental health treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management for patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Conduct individual and family therapy sessions, as well as group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Maine
- At least one year of experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably with children and adolescents
- Knowledge of counseling theory, physical and psychological effects of mental illness and substance abuse
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
