Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist II - 1st Shift to join our team at Hillenbrand. As a CNC Machinist II - 1st Shift, you will be responsible for operating manual and CNC machinery on a production basis, making arbors, jigs, and tools to hold a work piece in the machine. The schedule for this position is 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with 4 X 10 hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual and CNC machinery on a production basis, making arbors, jigs, and tools to hold a work piece in the machine.
  • Perform tool work as needed.
  • Work on other machines such as key seater, pull broach, de-burring, sandblasting, and honing, including load, unload, and set up.
  • Clean and maintain machines periodically.
  • Lift weights of up to 40 lbs.
  • Perform quality control checks of screw elements using gauges.
  • De-burring and sandblasting of all parts needed.
  • Clean shop area as needed.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by proper authority.

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a CNC Machinist.
  • Ability to correctly read required measuring devices.
  • Ability to read necessary blueprints.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A technical degree is a plus.
  • Understanding of codes including G Codes.
  • Experience running CNC Lathes.
