CNC Machinist II - 2nd Shift Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist II to join our team in Wytheville, Virginia. As a CNC Machinist II, you will be responsible for operating manual and CNC machinery on a production basis, making arbors, jigs, and tools to hold work pieces in the machine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual and CNC machinery on a production basis
  • Make arbors, jigs, and tools to hold work pieces in the machine
  • Perform tool work as needed
  • Work on other machines such as key seater, pull broach, de-burring, sandblasting, and honing
  • Clean and maintain machines periodically
  • Lift weights of up to 40 lbs
  • Perform quality control checks of screw elements using gauges
  • De-burring and sandblasting of all parts needed
  • Clean shop area as needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years' experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Ability to correctly read required measuring devices
  • Ability to read necessary blueprints
