About the Role

Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice and high-acuity care, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate speech pathologist to join our team in a rewarding opportunity in homecare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide aural rehabilitation services for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, and develop augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
  • Work collaboratively with patients and their families to provide much-needed care in the comfort of their own homes.
Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the state of assignment.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate coursework and a clinical practicum at a college or university accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
  • Current CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology.
