GENERAL JOB OVERVIEW
The Visual Production Specialist will collaborate closely with our creative team, assisting graphic designers in preparing and dispatching proofs to clients, establishing production files, and serving as the final checkpoint in our production workflow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement production of creative and graphic concepts as directed by the design team.
- Generate proofs as required and specified in the sales order for client review and approval.
- Prepare production files according to the chosen decoration method.
- Address business challenges through effective production solutions.
- Transform various formats of provided artwork into production-ready files and resolve any arising artwork issues.
- Engage regularly with designers, production staff, and sales teams as necessary to complete assigned projects.
- Ensure all required checklists are accurately completed and free of errors.
- Participate in process enhancement initiatives and various production meetings to contribute positively and creatively to the business.
- Organize and catalog artwork for future reference.
- Adhere to a development timeline to guarantee timely completion of tasks.
- Contribute innovative ideas to design artwork that meets customer specifications.
- Act as a liaison between departments.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation: $18-$21 per hour, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design (preferred) or a prepress background with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Core Competencies:
Proficient technical skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES
Ability to interpret and understand workflow diagrams and standard operating procedures.
A sharp eye for detail when reviewing final files, proofs, and ensuring compliance with standards across color, font, and production quality.
Capability to adapt and enhance processes for improved efficiency.
Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn existing and new workflows.
Exceptional organizational and follow-up abilities.
Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen and understand to execute work according to client needs.
Self-motivated and process-oriented, staying informed about new production techniques and trends through ongoing research and education.
Meticulous and goal-driven.
A desire to excel in a professional, fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deliverables.
Ability to work independently within the scope of assignments as well as collaboratively within a team.
