OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:

The primary goal of this position is to achieve or surpass designated revenue, profit margins, and product distribution targets within the established corporate framework.

This will be accomplished by cultivating, developing, and overseeing relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, designers, general contractors, distributors, subcontractors, and end-users.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives and expectations.
  • Focus on nurturing existing client relationships while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to enhance the adoption of Rust-Oleum products within the designated region.
  • Manage client accounts to create business development prospects through strategic engagement, thorough analysis, and collaboration with key decision-makers.
  • Promote product specifications and project opportunities throughout the assigned territory.
  • Utilize industry insights and marketplace trends to establish trusted partnerships with clients, focusing on identifying and resolving challenges.
  • Prepare and present annual strategic business plans for each client, including monthly sales forecasts.
  • Follow a structured sales process to identify potential clients, engage decision-makers, assess sales potential, and successfully close deals.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing clear and ethical information while addressing concerns directly and constructively.
  • Create and deliver high-quality technical materials, product brochures, presentations, and business correspondence to support the sales process.
  • Collaborate with senior management to organize and conduct product training sessions for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage technology daily for productivity, including lead generation, account management, sales tracking, and customer engagement.
  • Work closely with internal teams to foster a collaborative environment built on trust and mutual respect.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows, showcasing our products and services.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all product lines and service offerings.
  • Adhere to company policies, pricing structures, and operational procedures, ensuring a professional representation of the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, or Construction Management, along with 2-3 years of relevant industry experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Two to four years of related experience and/or training, with a solid understanding of construction principles (e.g., waterproofing, air barriers, framing).

Experience with Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) is preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivation, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or experience with CRM software.
  • A professional curiosity and ability to understand complex systems.
  • Capacity to retain and apply knowledge effectively.
  • Emotional intelligence to manage stress, communicate effectively, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to adapt communication style based on audience needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The role requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 25 lbs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The salary range for this position typically starts at $85K, with variations based on experience.
