We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to deliver expert guidance and implementation strategies for Information Security throughout our organization. TT Electronics operates numerous manufacturing facilities worldwide, serving a diverse array of technologies and clients, particularly in Defence, Aerospace, and Medical sectors, which are pivotal to our strategic growth initiatives. Given our decentralized organizational structure, the successful candidate will need to engage effectively with users to ensure that security requirements are clearly understood across all levels.
The Cybersecurity Specialist will primarily focus on enhancing our information security posture and ensuring alignment with corporate standards and compliance frameworks. This role will emphasize adherence to CMMC standards, supporting audits, and maintaining compliance.
The individual will cultivate strong relationships with business users to comprehend their operational processes and related information security needs. Utilizing this insight, they will ensure that the organization remains compliant with relevant standards and controls while also tailoring security solutions to meet business requirements.
We are looking for a proactive self-starter who is willing to take initiative and engage in hands-on work. The ideal candidate will adeptly balance security requirements with the operational needs of our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate successful CMMC certification and compliance with various NIST standards.
- Coordinate vulnerability management efforts, ensuring that pertinent vulnerabilities and risks are identified and mitigated, both on-premises and in cloud environments.
- Monitor computer networks for security threats, collaborating with third-party vendors to investigate incidents.
- Identify and track external information sources, providing recommendations on emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Serve as a point of escalation for service delivery teams, addressing and managing colleagues' inquiries related to information security.
- Collaborate with the Information Security Manager to execute initiatives outlined in the cybersecurity strategy and maintain an ongoing security testing program.
- Evaluate and test new technologies.
- Stay informed about trends in information technology and security standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Required Skills:
We expect candidates to possess experience in the following areas:
- Background in an IT Service Desk role or a similar position.
- Familiarity with infrastructure and technology, particularly in security operations.
- Experience with endpoint security, infrastructure security, and technical security baselines.
- Ability to create and maintain policy and procedural documentation in accordance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Must be based in the United States.
Additionally, candidates should demonstrate the ability to:
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a critical thinking approach.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting style to meet the audience's needs.
Collaborate effectively with others, including third parties, internal teams, and international business units, fostering knowledge sharing within IT and across the organization.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience addressing Operational Technology challenges in a manufacturing context.
- Background in supporting a global and multicultural organization.
