Job Overview:

  • Provide general nursing care to patients.
  • Welcome patients and prepare them for examinations, including gathering height, weight, blood pressure, and medical history.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patients' conditions and responses to treatments to the healthcare provider.
  • Assist in training new nursing staff within the clinic.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or diploma is required upon hire.
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Must possess one of the following certifications upon hire:
    • National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
    • National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT).
    • National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; 64 hours biweekly.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is outlined below. Actual pay will be based on experience.

  • $27.00 per hour
