Job Summary

Northern Arizona Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments.
  • Take vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and processing medical records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant diploma or certification preferred.
  • One year of experience in a medical setting; certification from a recognized medical assisting organization (e.g., AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA) required within 90 days of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Fingerprint clearance card required upon hire.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members, and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
