Job Summary

Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our patients, working closely with our healthcare team to prevent, recognize, assess, manage, treat, dispose of, and recondition athletic injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prevention and Injury Management: Develop and implement injury prevention programs, conduct risk assessments, and provide education to patients and staff on injury prevention and management.
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' injuries, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to promote optimal recovery and return to play.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Education and Training: Provide education and training to patients, families, and staff on injury prevention, management, and treatment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Certifications: Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) or Temporary State Licensure (AT-Temp) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
