About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team at Jobot. As a seasoned professional with a strong background in liability law, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the legal landscape of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.
  • Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Present and summarize cases to judges and juries.
  • Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting a lawsuit.
  • Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
  • Supervise legal assistants and paralegals, and law clerks.
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
  • Advocate for clients in court and represent them in mediation and negotiation proceedings.
Requirements
  • A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be an active member in good standing with the state bar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, with significant experience in liability law.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with legal research software and platforms.
  • Proven track record of courtroom success.
