Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our clinical support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering exceptional medical services.
Responsibilities- Obtain and document patient history, including medical and ocular information
- Determine visual acuity and perform automated and manual refraction for diagnostic purposes
- Perform basic lensometry, pupillary assessment, and visual field testing
- Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions as ordered by physicians
- Perform office duties and clinical tasks, including data entry and patient services
- Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry) and perform pre-operative preparation of patients
- Maintain equipment and instruments, including ocular imaging devices
- Perform ocular imaging, including OCT and topography
- Provide post-operative education and support to patients
- 3-5 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician, preferably in a similar medical setting
- COA certification preferred
- Dependable transportation to travel to other offices as required
- Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to seek instruction in areas where knowledge is lacking and recognize inconsistencies
