The Hotel Concierge is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering exceptional and personalized experiences for our guests. This role involves providing expert recommendations, fulfilling special requests, and coordinating a comprehensive range of services, including reservations, transportation, and unique local experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to Butler, Bell and Door staff
- Train new employees and maintain Family-Style Service standards of excellent guest service
- Schedule and coordinate team member to meet variable business demands
- Perform all duties of Concierge, providing accurate and timely information to guests using Family-Style Service house rules and personalized guest service
- Provide accurate and timely information to departments
- Audit revenue paperwork
- Develop and maintain procedure and training manuals
- Assure the accuracy and professionalism of collateral distributed from the Concierge desk
- Maintain the clean and “Spotless” standards at Concierge desk and surrounding areas
- Demonstrate a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor at all times
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Concierge training preferred
- Minimum of two years as a Concierge or closely related position
- Previous experience in a supervisory capacity preferred
- Literate and fluent in English
- Excellent guest service skills and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle difficult or stressful situations with tact and diplomacy
- Demonstrated leadership skills, acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same
- Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
- Must be able to stand for an 8 hour shift
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the hotel
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area
- Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine, and photocopier
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
