About the Role

The Hotel Concierge is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering exceptional and personalized experiences for our guests. This role involves providing expert recommendations, fulfilling special requests, and coordinating a comprehensive range of services, including reservations, transportation, and unique local experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to Butler, Bell and Door staff
  • Train new employees and maintain Family-Style Service standards of excellent guest service
  • Schedule and coordinate team member to meet variable business demands
  • Perform all duties of Concierge, providing accurate and timely information to guests using Family-Style Service house rules and personalized guest service
  • Provide accurate and timely information to departments
  • Audit revenue paperwork
  • Develop and maintain procedure and training manuals
  • Assure the accuracy and professionalism of collateral distributed from the Concierge desk
  • Maintain the clean and “Spotless” standards at Concierge desk and surrounding areas
  • Demonstrate a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor at all times
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Concierge training preferred
  • Minimum of two years as a Concierge or closely related position
  • Previous experience in a supervisory capacity preferred
  • Literate and fluent in English
  • Excellent guest service skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle difficult or stressful situations with tact and diplomacy
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same
  • Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands
  • Must be able to stand for an 8 hour shift
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the hotel
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine, and photocopier
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
