Job Description

Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead its Affirmative Action and Compliance Unit as the Chief Diversity and Equity Officer.

This critical role requires a strong understanding of state and federal employment grant compliance regulations, as well as the principles and practices of affirmative action, contract compliance, and personnel administration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and advancing an annual affirmative action plan, implementing policies and programs for affirmative action, equal employment opportunities, and diversity, equity, and inclusion, and monitoring MWRA's workforce compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

This position requires excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work with all levels of management and employees.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 10 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity, with a strong understanding of state and federal employment grant compliance regulations and the principles and practices of affirmative action, contract compliance, and personnel administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and advance an annual affirmative action plan

Working Environment:

The work environment is a moderately quiet office setting. This position may be eligible for up to 50% telework.
