Safety Specialist

Sazerac Company is seeking a Safety Specialist to lead the development and execution of a sound safety program to achieve zero injuries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a safety program to achieve zero injuries
- Lead the creation of a safety culture to ensure employees think safety first
- Recommend, develop, and execute procedures, policies, and programs to enhance workplace safety
- Develop and execute safety training
- Lead an active safety committee
- Create and oversee a system to quickly identify and remedy safety hazards
- Oversee investigation of accidents, injuries, and property damage
- Provide safety program advice to designated safety reps
Salary range: $69,954 - $86,993
Placement within the salary range is calculated based upon years of directly relatable experience for the position.
Qualifications:- Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and related compliance experience
- Ability to drive results in a complex, high-growth company
- 2 years relevant experience (minimum)
