As a key member of the management team, the Nursing Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily departmental functions. This role involves supervising nursing personnel and coordinating their activities to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management to enhance departmental operations and patient care.
- Serve as a role model for nursing staff, demonstrating the Core Values in all interactions.
- Mentor under the Clinical Manager/Director while pursuing leadership training opportunities.
- Participate in special projects aligned with strategic and operational goals.
- Coordinate team efforts to provide compassionate and ethical patient care in accordance with established standards.
- Act as a clinical and operational resource, exercising independent judgment in designated hours of accountability.
- Assist in business planning, fiscal accountability, and resource utilization.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and adaptability while performing clinical duties relevant to the specialty.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or charge nurse role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Registered Nurses without a Bachelor's degree must obtain one within 30 months of hire).
- Certification in a relevant area of expertise (e.g., Nursing Management, CCRN, CEN) upon hire.
