Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Apicha Community Health Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, adhering to established clinical standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds.
  • Offer physical and psycho-social support to patients and their significant others.
  • Welcome and create an inclusive environment for LGBTQ patients.
  • Collaborate with medical providers and other team members to manage patient care.
  • Participate in the planning and development of the Nursing Department.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with at least one year of professional nursing experience.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse License in New York State.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, experience with EMR, preferably eClinicalWorks (eCW).
  • Current basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS CPR) Certificate.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Bilingual skills (English plus Spanish or South Asian or East Asian or South East Asian) are a plus.
