Job Summary:

The LPN will work collaboratively with medical providers and other members of the multidisciplinary team to manage patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing physical and psycho-social support to patients and their significant others
  • Welcome and create an inclusive environment for LGBTQ patients
  • Support and guide members of the clinical team
  • Participate in the planning and development of the Nursing Department
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • At least one year of professional nursing experience, preferably in medical surgical and/or pediatrics
  • A current Licensed Practical Nurse License in New York State
  • The ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Computer literacy, experience with EMR, preferably eClinicalWorks (eCW)
  • A current basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS CPR) Certificate
  • The ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment
  • Bilingual is a plus (English plus Spanish or South Asian or East Asian or South East Asian)
