Phlebotomy Team Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Team Lead to join our team at Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc. in Long Island. As a Phlebotomy Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the territory, providing exceptional patient care, and ensuring proper specimen processing and labeling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient-focused service and perform venipuncture on patients of all ages
  • Collect and prepare non-blood specimens
  • Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering
  • Work closely with Phlebotomy management to oversee daily activities
  • Assist with training new hires and provide backup coverage to the Phlebotomy Supervisor
  • Address errors, redraws, and QA with Phlebotomists and conduct retraining as necessary
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous phlebotomy experience, minimum 1 year
  • Previous team lead experience, a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze, solve problems, and make evaluative judgments
  • Strong computer and data entry skills, including knowledge of Excel
