Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiographer to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a Radiographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures at a general skill level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic examinations using various imaging modalities.
  • Schedule cases to coordinate with other patient examinations and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Position and transfer patients safely and comfortably, explaining the procedure in a clear and concise manner.
  • Immobilize patients as necessary and practice radiation safety procedures to minimize exposure.
Essential Functions
  • Assess and interpret patient data to provide appropriate treatment.
  • Provide direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s) and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles.
  • Maintain established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  • Provide outstanding service to all customers, foster teamwork, and practice fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
  • Supervise, assist, and evaluate students in the clinical education setting.
  • Check equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular basis and prepare and maintain written documentation as required.
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas and/or patient rooms.
  • Develop film through automatic processing and request and order supplies as necessary.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in radiography or related field.
  • Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
  • Registration in a specific modality (e.g. ARRT) upon hire.
Working Environment
  • Occupational hazards are present in this role.
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens is possible.
