Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laboratory Specimen Processor to join our team at Northwestern Medicine. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for receiving, processing, labeling, and distributing specimens, as well as performing non-high complexity testing as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process laboratory specimens in a timely and accurate manner
  • Label and distribute specimens to the appropriate departments
  • Perform non-high complexity testing as required, including but not limited to, centrifugation, aliquoting, and labeling
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of specimen processing and testing
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with laboratory staff and other departments
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to maintain organization of work while multi-tasking
  • Attention to detail critical
  • Must be able to follow instructions
