Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and manage wait times to ensure a positive experience
  • Assist patients with intake processes, including copying required documents
  • Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, and issue receipts
  • Manage cashier boxes and daily deposits according to company policies
  • Process walk-in patients and visitors, and answer phones to schedule appointments
  • Manage medical records, including maintaining, filing, and preparing for schedules
  • Ensure all correspondence is scanned and/or filed in a timely manner
  • Process requests for medical records release and maintain appropriate logs
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of medical office experience, including data entry
  • 1+ years of working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology
  • Tuberculosis screening and proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis
Preferred Qualification
  • ICD 9 and CPT coding experience
