As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to Deputy Attorneys General in New Castle County, assisting with research, document preparation, and case management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of case law, statutes, and regulations to support Deputy Attorneys General in trial preparation.
  • Prepare and process legal documents, including discovery, subpoenas, and other court filings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, ensuring all necessary information is readily available.
  • Interview witnesses, victims, and other parties to gather information and evidence.
  • Review and summarize reports, including police reports, medical records, and other relevant documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal pleadings, briefs, and memoranda of law.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, defendants, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a law enforcement or legal setting.
  • Associate's degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies from an ABA-approved program or a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
