Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Controller to join our team at Weasler Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis for our Weasler West Bend Plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze month-end financials related to operations and ensure accuracy of financial results.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly outlooks and provide financial insights to operations management.
  • Coordinate the monthly financial close process and serve as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors.
  • Own the manufacturing expense and gross profit adjustment portions of the income statement and balance sheet.
  • Develop and maintain standardized daily and weekly financial reporting tools to analyze results and drive changes to reduce costs and achieve financial targets.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual financial plan, quarterly forecasts, and monthly and weekly financial outlooks.
  • Work closely with operations management to understand business conditions and adjust plant spend to account for changes.
  • Assist plant leadership in financial justification and support of capital spend requests.
  • Develop processes to ensure financial predictability by driving improvement in spend forecasting for production-related expenses.
  • Participate in other projects related to cost-down initiatives, capital investments, manufacturing spend, operational improvements, ERP upgrades, and other business initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 7+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to analyze situations quickly and accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology, including ERP systems, Hyperion HFM, and Microsoft Excel.
