Job Summary

The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department, ensuring the efficient management of inventory and sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Merchandise the parts inventory to meet sales and profit targets, ensuring the retail area is organized, clean, stocked, and retail tagged.
  2. Supervise Parts Department employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their responsibilities.
  3. Control the Parts Department inventory, ensuring PO's are received and attached to payable documents, submitting payables timely, and monitoring turns, aging, cash sales, and RMA's.
  4. Train and develop Parts Department employees, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  5. Review and analyze performance results, taking corrective action when necessary.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to meet Company goals and objectives, coordinating with other functional and staff managers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer terminal data input and 10-key calculator skills.
  • 5 years of heavy and medium duty diesel truck parts sales experience.
  • Knowledge of bills of lading and freight bills.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
Working Conditions

This role involves a combination of sedentary and physical work, requiring the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, as well as lift at least 50 pounds without assistance on a daily basis.
