IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

EMPLOYMENT TERM: Minimum 200 days annually, pursuant to applicable state codes; extended employment terms may be established by the Board of Education.

SALARY: In accordance with the state Teacher Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and educational qualifications.

EVALUATION: Performance in this role will be assessed by the building principal and in accordance with state educational policies.

JOB SUMMARY: Deliver effective instruction to elementary students, ensuring they achieve the learning objectives and standards for their grade level.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and implement a curriculum aligned with state educational standards.
  • Execute adopted and supplementary academic programs.
  • Integrate 21st Century technology skills into the learning process.
  • Collaborate with special education professionals to support diverse learners.
  • Organize and lead co-curricular activities and programs, including fairs and field trips.
  • Accountable for individual student progress and achievement.
  • Design and implement personalized learning experiences for all students.
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate in school improvement initiatives as directed by the principal.
  • Ensure effective classroom management and control.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid teaching certification for the relevant grade levels; successful completion of a criminal background check; meet the qualifications outlined in state educational codes.
