Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Columbus, IN.
This is a challenging opportunity for a talented individual to make a significant impact in the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Excellence: As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance and support tasks with precision and quality, contributing to equipment reliability and overall productivity.
- Safety Champion: You will prioritize health, safety, and environmental practices, reporting hazards promptly, using protective gear, and promoting a culture of interdependence to minimize environmental impact.
- Quality Advocate: You will maintain high standards, providing feedback on preventive maintenance, adhering to process documentation, and raising any issues affecting cost or quality.
- Reliable Delivery: You will execute electrical repairs efficiently, documenting preventive, emergency, and corrective maintenance activities, and aligning with codes and standards to ensure safe operation of equipment.
- Problem Solver: You will identify manufacturing constraints and propose solutions, scheduling maintenance around production needs to minimize downtime, and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Team Player: You will engage in effective communication with your team and support groups, participating in training and personal development, and collaborating with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams to enhance quality, safety, and processes.
- Learn and Adapt: You will continuously develop your core skills, embracing new challenges and adapting to evolving requirements.
- Effective Communication: You will develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences, understanding their unique needs and conveying information effectively.
- Health and Safety: You will identify, report, and actively participate in actions to improve health and safety, fostering an interdependent culture and contributing to an injury-free workplace.
- Controls Safety: You will recognize hazards related to controls (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) in a manufacturing environment, incorporating safe practices and procedures into your daily work to reduce injuries and create a secure machine environment.
- Machine Programming: You will design and implement solutions to enhance machine usage and overall operation on the factory floor.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: You will demonstrate expertise in manufacturing processes, implementing changes effectively, aligning with the function's needs, and contributing to continuous improvement.
You will require a high school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
You will require some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
