Rutgers University, a leading academic health center, seeks a highly motivated Research Assistant to contribute to the development of innovative rehabilitation exergames for children with cerebral palsy. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work on creating engaging and interactive games using Unity, motion capture systems, and voice recognition technology.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the research team to design and develop exergames that promote physical activity and engagement among children with CP. Key responsibilities include assisting in conducting a feasibility study to evaluate the usability and effectiveness of the exergames, gathering and analyzing user feedback, and working closely with the team to ensure the exergames meet specific needs and adhere to best practices.

Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Current undergraduate major in computer engineering and enrollment in an SHP DPT program.
  • Experience with Unity development and familiarity with motion capture systems and voice recognition technology (a plus).
  • Strong interest in multidisciplinary approaches to rehabilitation and game design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a research-focused environment.
