Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Business Development to lead our sales and pricing operations. This key role will be responsible for managing relationships with key customers, developing and driving sales strategies, and building and overseeing our automotive logistics pricing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute strategic and operational pricing and sales activities in conjunction with the President.
  • Collaborate with executive-level management to develop sales performance goals and long-term sales plans.
  • Lead all contractual negotiations with customers for inbound and outbound automotive transportation logistics.
  • Monitor contracts for efficiency and performance, determining and recommending pricing strategies for all business lines.
  • Oversee the customer support process to enhance customer satisfaction, developing relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Revise and formulate sales policies to improve company performance, managing and developing a Contracts Manager.
  • Identify and revise key sales metrics for efficient operations on a weekly basis.
  • Communicate and explain new directives, policies, or procedures, ensuring a seamless transition to new processes.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Planning and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage sales/pricing processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field.
  • Automotive transportation background is preferred.
  • Ability to travel via car and airline.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to talk and hear to enable effective communication.
