Key Responsibilities- Test Development: Develop test specifications and requirements for functional test processes, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
- Test Execution: Provide timely test support for production activities, ensuring that all tests are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Test Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot test failures and propose efficient and quality-driven solutions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Test Automation: Identify and implement tools, fixturing, and testing automation methods to improve test efficiency and reduce manual testing.
- Test Planning and Reporting: Develop, write, and review test plans, procedures, methods, and reports with excellent writing skills, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
- Test Yield Analysis: Provide detailed feedback and analysis on test yields, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Test Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair electro-mechanical test systems, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring that they are in good working condition.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for improvement on existing test systems and processes, ensuring that they are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Qualification of Test Systems: Qualify test systems to ensure that they meet the required standards of quality and reliability.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams and other leaders to drive work to completion and resolve issues, communicating effectively with stakeholders and senior management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in electromechanical design, test development, and/or system verification testing.
- Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills, excellent oral communication and technical writing skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Electromechanical Design Experience: Demonstrated capability/understanding of the design and development of medical devices, including electro-mechanical assemblies, mechanisms, and manufacturing processes.
- Test Equipment Experience: Experience using basic electronic test equipment, such as DMM, Oscilloscope, electrical safety analyzers, and Hi-Pot testing.
- Embedded Firmware Design Experience: Experience in development and understanding of embedded firmware design, including microcontrollers and FPGA.
- Python Programming Experience: Knowledge of Python programming language for scripting.
- Medical Device Development Experience: Experience in medical device development, including design, testing, and manufacturing.
Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package, including a short-term incentive plan. The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
