Job Title: Certified Peer Specialist

About the Job:

We are seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join our team at Aspire Behavioral Health & DD Services. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have personal experience with mental health or substance abuse treatment and want to use their skills to support others.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 70% billable services to individuals on assigned case load under the direct supervision of Licensed staff.
  • Be in compliance with service guidelines, complete documentation within 24 hours, and assist with housing applications, referrals, renewals, and addressing housing issues.
  • Monitor service delivery, ensure caseload accuracy, use time towards travel, scheduling, and activities for successful face-to-face appointments.
  • Attend agency-required training, supervision, and meetings as scheduled by supervisor, and stay up-to-date with essential learning for assigned work.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Any combination of training and experience that would enable the applicant to acquire necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities in advocacy, advisory, or governance, plus one year of continuous experience as a current or former recipient of treatment (including mental health/substance abuse treatment or diagnosis).
  • Certification as a Peer Specialist by the Georgia Department of Human Resources.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
