Key Responsibilities:
  • Interprets blueprints and structural schematics
  • Follows established welding techniques to complete structural assemblies
  • Employs both manual and mechanical welding processes across various positions
  • Adjusts welding tools and machinery in accordance with welding procedure specifications
  • Prepares and cleans metal components using scrapers, chemical agents, and grinders to achieve a flawless surface
  • Cuts, repairs, and constructs building elements to create complete structures
  • Reviews and assesses welds to confirm they meet quality standards and specifications
  • Performs post-welding tasks such as grinding, cleaning, and polishing of components
  • Participates in training sessions, workshops, and necessary educational programs mandated by the department
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in the oilfield sector preferred
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Valid and current driver's license
  • Post-Employment Requirements:
    • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Understanding of industrial structural welding practices and methodologies
  • Proficient in the use of equipment such as welding torches, electrode holders, drill presses, and welding electrodes
  • Familiarity with Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations related to equipment operation
  • Experience in oilfield operations is preferred
  • Capability to conduct tests to identify and rectify faults in structural frameworks
  • Ability to follow directives and communicate effectively
