Job Description:
The Communication Specialist will provide therapeutic programs to meet individual needs of communication-impaired students. This includes assessing and diagnosing speech, voice, fluency, and language impairments, developing individualized therapy plans, and collaborating with teachers and other service providers. The specialist will also maintain accurate records and data collection and requisition necessary equipment and supplies. Responsibilities include observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language impairments, conducting thorough assessments, and participating in multi-disciplinary assessment teams. Estimated salary range: $70,000-$90,000.
