Job Summary:

As an Electrical Systems Specialist with the Murray School District, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of district-wide electrical services. This includes monitoring and maintaining electrical systems, determining demand and electrical needs, and troubleshooting issues. You will also be responsible for providing electrical repair services for various equipment and systems, as well as conducting ongoing electrical inspections and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain district-wide electrical services to ensure safety and functionality
• Determine demand and electrical needs specific to various educational and operations environments
• Troubleshoot electrical system malfunctions and outages
• Provide electrical repair services for various equipment and systems
• Conduct ongoing electrical inspections and maintenance activities
• Assist with seasonal maintenance and operations tasks as required

Requirements:

• High school graduate with two years of specialized training or five years of experience in electrical system management
• Working knowledge of general electrical engineering principles and practices
• Safety environment associated with power projects, construction, and maintenance
• Current codes, standards, safety practices, and principles involved in electrical projects
• Some knowledge of construction techniques and methods related to carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electronics, HVAC, and interpersonal communication skills
• Skill in the use of hand and power tools common to electrical installation and maintenance

Working Conditions:
