Position Overview:
We are in search of seasoned cost analysts who possess a strong background in financial analysis and cost management. The ideal candidates will have experience in developing should-cost models, a comprehensive understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, and the ability to conduct in-depth cost assessments. This role will focus on creating cost intelligence tools, performing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses, and supporting sourcing managers in strategic negotiations and design-related decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Should-Cost Models for various products and components.
- Create world-class cost intelligence models and tools to enhance hardware supply chain infrastructure.
- Extract actionable insights and summarize trends through thorough cost data analysis and research.
- Collaborate with sourcing managers and suppliers to compile datasets for comprehensive cost evaluations.
- Establish benchmarking data related to costs, including historical, competitive, and market insights, while assessing the impact of design changes on supplier costs.
- Utilize cost management methodologies such as target costing, lifecycle costing, and competitive bidding to validate and realize cost savings.
- Facilitate cost-related design workshops and work closely with engineering teams to influence product costs during the early phases of new product introductions.
- Identify and address cost data quality issues that arise during report and analysis development.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly business performance updates and manage status reports for stakeholders.
- Effectively oversee projects to ensure the delivery of measurable results.
Performance Metrics:
Success in this role will be evaluated based on the completion of cost models, the timeliness and quality of deliverables, and feedback from cross-functional teams.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record in building should-cost models for diverse products and services.
- Expertise in conducting detailed cost analyses and identifying key insights.
- Ability to create benchmarking data related to costs and understand the value drivers involved.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial reports and technical data.
- Proficient in documenting and managing customer/client information.
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities to provide constructive feedback.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable purchasing laws and regulations.
- Extensive experience in cost management practices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in developing dashboards or Excel models to support analytical needs.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers to optimize designs for cost efficiency.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or Finance is preferred.
Skills:
Expertise in PCB manufacturing, cost analysis, financial analysis, and electronic engineering.
