Job Summary:
The Pastry Cook is a key member of our culinary team at Aimbridge Hospitality, responsible for planning, prepping, setting up, and providing quality service in all areas of food production related to pastry baking, dessert, and other menu items and specials in accordance with standards and plating guides specific to the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare pastry and dessert items for service, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavor.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials, incorporating seasonal ingredients and creative presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest requests and feedback in a professional manner.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a pastry or dessert production role in a hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of pastry and dessert preparation, including baking, decorating, and presentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
