This position requires collaboration with fellow engineers to formulate strategies that enhance product integrity, minimize expenses, and bolster process dependability.

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will assist in production activities, resolve technical challenges, and spearhead initiatives aimed at continuous enhancement within the manufacturing framework.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Ensure that production documentation and drawings are precise and current, following appropriate revision control and engineering standards.
o Supervise the manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality benchmarks.
o Diagnose electromechanical issues and support production teams in resolving challenges stemming from design or supplier discrepancies.
o Offer technical assistance to production staff to address on-site challenges.
o Collaborate with the procurement team to source replacement parts and engage with external vendors to rectify quality concerns.
o Procure samples and expedite component deliveries for assessment, ensuring prompt arrival and quality assurance.
o Engage in the research and aggregation of technical data related to component selection and vendor evaluation.
o Assess new materials and components to fulfill product development and production requirements.

o Conduct training sessions for production staff on topics such as soldering and crimping, while also aiding in cross-training efforts across various production areas.

o Create and implement training resources to elevate the competencies of production personnel.

o Facilitate the transition of products from engineering to production, including inventory management and review of assembly documentation.

o Initiate and promote continuous improvement by analyzing both new and existing production methodologies.
o Leverage lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
o Champion initiatives for ongoing process improvement, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
o Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and apply best practices in manufacturing.
o Execute additional responsibilities as required.
Requirements
o An Associate's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
o Strong analytical problem-solving abilities with the capacity to troubleshoot electronic assemblies.
o Proficient in interpreting schematics and performing basic electronic diagnostics.
o Capability to solder and work with electronic components.
o Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications for electrical and mechanical components.
o Working knowledge of CAD software, Epicor or similar MRP/ERP systems, and general MS Windows applications.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
o Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
o Commitment to ongoing improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies.
