About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Plasma Center Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our donors, while also contributing to the collection of life-saving plasma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
  • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed for guidance on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
  • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
  • Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
  • Participate in pandemic investigations and support community outreach as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
  • Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
  • Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
