As a NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist at AHMC Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in directing the clinical nursing practice in the NICU and Pediatric Unit. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest level of care for our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct and coordinate the clinical nursing practice in the NICU and Pediatric Unit
• Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff to enhance clinical competency
• Provide consultation and guidance on complex neonatal and pediatric nursing issues
• Oversee comprehensive parent and primary caretaker education activities
• Ensure effective discharge planning and evaluation of units based on accrediting and regulatory agencies
Requirements:
• RN licensed by the State of California
• Certified by the California State Board of Registered Nursing as a CNS
• Master's of Science Degree in Nursing
• Three years of clinical experience in neonatal nursing care, including at least one year in a facility with an NICU
• Current certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing from a nationally recognized accrediting organization
• Current successful completion of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program of the AAP and AHA
