About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dietician to join our team at The Pines at Poughkeepsie Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. As a Dietician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents to identify their dietary needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to ensure nutritional adequacy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist the food service director in managing costs, overseeing food preparation, and developing department staffing plans.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on nutritional requirements and healthy eating habits.
  • Monitor and evaluate residents' nutritional status and make necessary adjustments to care plans.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid state license or license eligibility.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
