Academic Nocturnist Physician

We are currently seeking an academic nocturnist physician to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn. As a nocturnist physician, you will work alongside a team of experienced professionals to provide high-quality patient care and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct supervision to housestaff who are providing night-time coverage for patients admitted to the general medical wards.
- Staff resident admissions overnight and assist with rapid responses and all clinical escalation involving patients admitted to the housestaff teams.
- Provide direct patient care to a cohort of patients admitted on the attending-only service.
- Assist with admissions to the non-teach service as needed, supervise allied health professionals, coordinate and distribute patients boarding in the ED to hospitalist teams, and prepare all necessary handoff on patients under their care overnight.
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University
- New York State Medical License
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Excellent bedside manner and communications skills
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Committed to the mission of NYU Langone Health System and to the patients and communities we serve
- Team-oriented and committed to the goals of a performance-driven health system
