The Manager of Partnership Development plays a pivotal role within the TMRW Sports Partnerships Team. This position demands professional interaction across our internal teams while managing daily tasks with external clients and prospects. The individual in this role is expected to meet deadlines, approach tasks with a positive attitude, and contribute significantly to the revenue generation efforts of TMRW Sports.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft sponsorship proposals aimed at potential clients for outreach via email or in-person presentations.
- Assist in creating presentations that transform our offerings into valuable assets and innovative ideas.
- Conduct thorough research on companies and executives to ensure informed and strategic outreach.
- Produce detailed analyses of sponsorship categories, brand briefs, target lead lists, and identify emerging spending categories.
- Support proof of performance initiatives throughout the season.
- Proactively engage in extensive research to identify strategic opportunities for client engagement.
- Act as the primary liaison with the internal creative team for all presentation requirements and communicate new tools in development to the broader team.
- Oversee the initial review and necessary edits of term sheets and long-form agreements, collaborating closely with legal and sales leads.
- Work collaboratively with various departments (marketing, competition, broadcast production, creative, etc.) to ensure effective communication and follow-up throughout the sales process.
- Engage in brainstorming sessions with internal stakeholders to develop proposals and prepare for client meetings.
- Support the sales leadership team throughout the partnership acquisition process.
- Plan, create, manage timelines, and execute partnership pitch presentations, proposals, mock-ups, and deal summaries for prospective corporate partners.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market dynamics.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- 4-6 years of direct sales experience, ideally in sports, multimedia, or live events.
- Experience in integrated and conceptual sales is preferred.
- Ability to generate and articulate ideas succinctly while providing creative solutions to clients.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with clients and senior executives.
- Strong understanding of the partnership development process, including integrated platform development.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in SalesForce, Excel, and PowerPoint.
