We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support services in our healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign collection, specimen collection, and administration of medications.
- Perform clerical duties, such as preparing lab requests, scheduling appointments, and contacting patients to reschedule cancelled appointments.
- Collect and document patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Perform CLIA waived labs, such as Accu-checks and urine beta HCG.
- Administer medications and immunizations in accordance with clinical policy.
- Provide telephone call reminders for scheduled appointments.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school or certification from an approved credentialing body for medical assistants is required.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Card is required.
- National certification as a registered Medical Assistant is preferred.
- One-year experience in a clinic, doctor's office or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
